Simplified Onboarding of Laptop Users in the MSP Environment

A new simplified process to onboard new laptop customers in MSP environments that lets you create a common Commvault software installation package that can be installed by multiple tenants using an Authorization Code.

You can add new users and auto-activate those users who use an external directory service, or add and auto-activate local users to the CommCell database.

Application-Aware Installations

Configure the Commvault software to automatically detect the installed client applications in the following scenarios:

  • You plan to add additional applications after you install the  Commvault software.
  • You plan to refresh the hardware.
  • You have a managed service provider configuration.

You can set this feature for a client or a client group. When you enable this feature, the software periodically checks each client and client group member for newly installed applications.

The CommCell Console displays the applications as uninstalled clients. You can run a workflow that automates the following operations:

  • Installs the Commvault package for the application.
  • Configures the client on the CommServe.
  • Registers the client with the CommServe with the Product Status as "Auto Detect".

Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Standard Edition

Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Standard Edition is the SQL Server version that is used during the installation of Commvault server packages, such as the CommServe software.

Before Service Pack 16, Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Standard Edition was the version that was used during installations.

Application Seed Package

You can create an application seed package, which is useful for deploying different agents and configurations across multiple computers.

An application seed package consists of a set of files that installs the Commvault software, and can also install additional Commvault features without requiring the installation media to reside locally on the machine. Instead, it uses the CommServe software cache to pull the payload needed for the additional features.

Increase Scalability with Application Manager Node

To increase the scalability of your environment, you can offload the Application Manager service from the CommServe computer to a different machine by installing the Application Manager Node package on a different client. Afterward, you can configure a computer group to use the Application Manager Node client as the Application Manager services host instead of the CommServe computer.

The API Explorer is an application in Web Console for visualizing and interacting with the latest Commvault RESTful APIs.

Commvault's latest RESTful APIs follow the Swagger 2.0 specification, which means they are compatible with Swagger UI. Swagger UI is the open source framework that powers the Commvault API Explorer and makes visualizing and using the latest Commvault RESTful APIs easier for end users. From API Explorer, users can execute REST API requests and view responses from the CommCell environment directly from the Web Console.

You can add any LDAP-based domain controller to your CommCell environment by using the Command Center. You can also add subsets of objects from your LDAP domain controllers as domain controller objects in your CommCell environment. For example, you can add two different organizations from the same Active Directory as separate entities in the Command Center, which you can associate with different companies.

Using a Smart Network Topology When Setting Up Network Connections in the Command Center

Instead of creating a standard network topology, which is comprised of routes from clients in an infrastructure group to all MediaAgents and the CommServe server in the group, you can create a smart network topology, which is comprised of routes from clients to only the CommServe server and MediaAgents that the clients actually communicate with.

You can create a smart network topology for one-way direct connections, two-way direct connections, and connections via a network gateway.

Opening the CommCell Console with a JAR File

You can access the CommCell Console remotely from any computer using a JAR file as an alternative to using the web-based CommCell Console or the Java Web Start application. You can configure the software to remember the CommCell information that you enter, and then access the CommCell Console automatically. You can also select the CommCell from the list of CommCell environments that you accessed before.

Setting Up Network Connectivity Between Client Groups Using Predefined Network Topologies in the Command Center

When using the Command Center, you can use predefined topologies to set up network connectivity between client groups. The client groups use the network topology instances to establish connections between each other, either in one direction, or in both directions. The clients in the client groups can be the CommServe computer, MediaAgents, or client computers.

In Environments with Multiple CommCell Deployments, Use a Single URL to Access Web Services

If your infrastructure has multiple CommCell environments, each CommCell environment has a different URL for web-based interfaces (such as the Command Center and the Web Console). With web service routing, you can configure one URL to be the single entry point for users to access their web services.

For example, if you have three CommCell environments with three Web Server URLs, you can designate one of them as the entry point URL. After you configure the routing feature, users from any of the CommCell environments can go to the entry point URL, enter their credentials, and then be redirected to the Web Server URL for the CommCell environment to which they belong. If a user exists in more than one CommCell environment, then the user can choose which CommCell environment they want to access.

  • Administrators have only a single URL to distribute to users and do not have to keep track of multiple URLs for different Web Servers.

Linking a CommCell User with a Cloud Services Commvault ID

You can link a Cloud Services Commvault ID to a CommCell user. When the accounts are linked, users can log on to the CommCell environment with either the credentials from their Cloud Services account or from their local CommCell account.

During CommServe installation, you can link your Commvault ID to the new CommServe database. If you do not have a Commvault ID, you can create it during installation.

System Monitoring

System monitoring gives administrators insight into their IT infrastructure. User activity and resource usage is collected and is stored in a database. The data can be used by administrators for troubleshooting, auditing and compliance purposes.

Single Sign-On for Identity Providers Using CAS Authentication

You can integrate supported web applications that use the Central Authentication Service (CAS) protocol with Commvault to enable single sign-on (SSO) to Commvault web applications.

CAS is a protocol for single sign-on used by some third-party web applications, such as Huawei FusionCloud. After configuring SSO for CAS authentication, users can log in to their Huawei FusionCloud, and then access Commvault web applications without the need to sign in again.

Add Regions and Configure Region Based Storage in the Command Center

In the Command Center, you can now define regions and configure region based storage.

A region is a group of one or more locations that define a geographic boundary for your enterprise. For example, you can use regions to define geographic boundaries for your storage locations. When using a plan with region based storage, if a client's region matches a region defined in the plan, then the client's backup data is sent to the storage that is defined for that region.

Voice-Based CommCell Monitoring

You can use voice-based monitoring for CommCell environments with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant on a smartphone or other device to monitor the health of a CommCell environment. 

Using simple commands or questions, you can ask Alexa or Assistant for information about SLAs (service level agreements), failed jobs, critical agent protection status, and anomalies or unusual activities within a CommCell environment. After Alexa or Assistant answers your question or performs your command, it might ask whether you want to receive detailed information in an email that is sent to your Commvault Cloud email account.

  • You must have Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant on an Internet-enabled smartphone or other device.
  • The CommCell environment that you want to monitor must be registered on the Commvault Cloud, and its health data must be regularly uploaded to the Commvault Cloud.

Simplified Firewall Setup with Predefined Network Topologies

Predefined firewall topologies are now provided to simplify the firewall configuration. You can configure firewall parameters for client groups by creating an instance of the required topology and assigning the client groups to it.

  • Simplifies administration by establishing connectivity between groups of clients, as groups.
  • Enables you to create logical proxies consisting of multiple clients, known as proxy groups, to simplify defining the relationship between clients and proxies.

Configure Administrative Jobs to Start When CommServe Activity Is Low

You can configure your administrative jobs to go into a queued state if more than 100 backup jobs are running or waiting on the CommServe. When fewer than 100 backup jobs are running or waiting, the queued administrative jobs automatically start. This option is an advanced job option and is located on the Startup tab.

Tenant administrators and service providers can define operation window rules for a company to prevent backup operations from running during certain time periods of the day.

When operation windows are configured, operations that would start within the operation window parameters go into a queued state (rather than a pending state). After the operation window ends, the queued operations automatically resume.

Data Encryption Configuration for Global Policies

You can configure data encryption for a global deduplication policy or for a global secondary copy policy.

If you enable data encryption on a global secondary copy policy, a dependent secondary copy re-encrypts the data with the cipher that is defined in the global secondary copy policy. However, you can override the encryption settings of the global secondary copy policy and configure different settings.

You can now configure a Network Storage Pool that provides a scalable and easy to configure storage solution. Multiple cross-platform MediaAgents can access a Network Storage Pool that has the following benefits:

Job Activity Anomaly Alert

When the number of created, deleted, or modified files in a backup job changes abruptly from the typical number or when amount of backup data varies abnormally, the software sends an email alert about the anomaly.

New Unusual Job Activity Alert (Indexing Version 2 only)

Indexing processes now detect anomalies that occur during regular backup or synthetic backup jobs. Anomalies include sudden increases or decreases in the number of files or folders that are created, modified, or deleted. One time per day, the Backup MediaAgent evaluates the current day’s backup jobs to determine whether any anomalies occurred. If an anomaly occurred, an alert appears in the CommCell Console.

Index Server Load Balancing

The Index Server Load Report displays information about index load statuses, index load trends, and index size distributions across MediaAgents that are Indexing Version 2 index servers in a CommCell environment.

The report also includes a load balancing feature, which redistributes loads across all Indexing Version 2 index servers in a CommCell environment, to achieve optimal distribution of indexes across available disk space.

Use the Start Over Operation to Run the Next Backup Job as a Full Job After Media Becomes Corrupted

When media becomes corrupted, you can perform a start over operation on the associated storage policy. The start over operation automatically converts the next backup job to a full backup job for all the subclients and disables data aging at the subclient level.

After the full backup job completes, the Commvault software automatically enables data aging at the subclient level.

Storage Forecasting

The storage forecasting feature predicts when storage space for a CommCell environment's disk libraries, deduplication databases, and index caches may become full. To perform this forecasting, the system analyzes historical data use and available storage space, and accounts for future data growth within the CommCell environment.

If the system predicts that a storage space will be full within the next 30 days, or if a storage space is currently full, then the system sends you an email alert. You also can view the system's current storage forecasting predictions by accessing the following CommCell health reports:

  • Disk Library Growth
  • DDB Disk Space Utilization
  • Index Cache Space Utilization

You can enable or disable storage forecasting alerts, and modify alert settings, through the CommCell Dashboard.

Oracle 12 Multitenant Support Through Pluggable Database Tracking

Oracle has introduced the Multitenant feature for Oracle 12c. There are 2 main databases that are part of the Multitenant feature:

  • The container database (CDB): This database contains the files that the database needs to run, such as the control file, the dictionary, and the redo logs. A CDB can contain one or more pluggable databases.
  • Pluggable databases (PDB): The PDBs contain datafiles and tablespaces. They do not contain any control file because they use the CDB control file. Each PDB has a unique database ID.

If you have Oracle 12c, then you can unplug a PDB from one CDB and plug it into a new CDB to simplify software patching and maintenance. When you move a PDB to a new CDB instance, Oracle prunes the database backup information from the original CDB instance and does not update the new CDB instance with the backup information. The Commvault Oracle Agent software tracks the PDB and its container database at a specific point in time so that you can identify the CDB for any point-in-time restore operation.

The Commvault software includes the PDB database ID in backups. You can run a script from the command line that displays the following PDB information:

  • The client name where you ran the backup
  • The Oracle instance name
  • The Oracle PDB name
  • The backup creation time
  • The backup end time
  • The PDB database ID

After you have this information, you can use RMAN scripts to plug the PDB into a new CDB, or to clone the PDB.

Otherwise, the MediaAgent that performed the backup is used.

    The same requirements that apply to a MediaAgent also apply to a File Recovery Enabler when it is used for live recovery.

Live Sync Replication of Virtual Machines for VMware

Service Pack 2 provided the following enhancements: 

  • Failover orchestration: Run automated workflows to test boot virtual machines, perform a planned failover, or perform an unplanned failover.
  • IP address configuration for destination virtual machines: 
    • For source virtual machines running Windows that use static IP addresses, you can configure destination network IP addresses using DHCP or static IP addresses. 
    • Run an immediate Live Sync operation for virtual machines that have unapplied changes from recent backups.
  • Enhanced reporting: Run a Job Summary Report with the Live Sync option to generate a report for replication jobs.
  • Improved error handling:
    • ​If the result of a Live Sync job cannot be validated, the destination virtual machine automatically reverts to the last valid state for the virtual machine.
    • Live Sync jobs are automatically failed after three attempts, enabling a new job to start after issues are resolved.
    • After three unsuccessful retries, Live Sync is disabled for virtual machines that cannot be successfully synced.

Service Pack 3 provided the following enhancements:

  • Failback capability for virtual machines that have been failed over to a secondary site. You can fail back to the original primary site or to a new site. This operation ensures that any incremental updates from the secondary site are replicated back to the primary site.
  • You can replicate virtual machines to vCloud as well as to a vCenter. When replicating to vCloud, you can specify the organization, virtual data center (vDC), vApp name, and vApp owner.
  • New reports for failover and failback operations.
  • New Status field to show failover and failback status in the Live Sync Monitor.
  • Live Sync information added to the Health Report. 

Service Pack 4 provides the following enhancement:

For VMware, IntelliSnap Backup Operations and Backup Copy Operations Run Without a Proxy ESXi Host

For VMware, IntelliSnap and backup copy operations, by default, run without mounting the snapshot datastore to a proxy ESXi host (proxyless backups). Without mounting to a proxy ESXi host, during IntelliSnap and backup copy operations, the following occurs:

  • IntelliSnap operations: All changed blocks (obtained through Changed Block Tracking incremental backups) will be stored in an XML file, which is then uploaded to the Index Server. File system APIs are used to read the data.
  • Backup copy operations: The snapshot datastores are mounted locally to the VSA proxy machine. The proxy ESXi host mount does not occur. File system APIs are used to read the data.

Key Features

The advantages of not mounting the snapshot datastore to a proxy ESXi host are as follows:

  • Virtual Machine File System (VMFS) and Changed Block Tracking (CBT) information are retrieved during the snapshot backup operation rather than from the mounted snapshot.
    • The  IntelliSnap backup operation might take longer, but the time required to mount the datastore to the VSA proxy is considerably reduced. Overall, the backup is faster.
    • There are no rescan and refresh operations (which would occur after the mount and unmount operations).
  • There is no extra ESXi host (hardware and license).
  • There is no need to repurpose a production ESXi host computer as a proxy.

Application Aware Backups for Microsoft Hyper-V

You can use Commvault software to perform application aware backups for Microsoft Hyper-V virtual machines that run the following applications:

  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Oracle for Windows

Application aware backups capture the state of application data at the time of the backup, including data in memory and pending transactions, which makes restoring the application for continued use easier. An application aware backup for a virtual machine quiesces the application, flushes its memory, completes pending write operations, and then creates a snapshot of application data. After the snapshot is created, the application resumes.

This feature is supported only for streaming backups.

Note: Only standalone deployments of Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server applications are supported.

For Service Pack 5, the following enhancements are included for the Virtual Server Agent with Hyper-V:

  • Oracle RAC for Windows can be supported if data and log file storage are shared, by backing up one of the nodes.

VMware Virtual Volumes (VVols) provide a logical view of virtual machine storage. The Virtual Server Agent (VSA) supports IntelliSnap backups with VVol for any hardware storage arrays that provide VVol support, as well as IntelliSnap backups for virtual machines that reside on Virtual SAN (VSAN) storage that includes VVols.

The VSA leverages VMware software snapshots to perform more efficient and granular IntelliSnap backups of VVols that are associated with a virtual machine. By using a software snapshot, the VSA reads data directly from storage and limits the data captured in the snapshot to the data for the targeted virtual machine. Backup, backup copy, retention, revert, browse, and VM recovery operations can address storage for each virtual machine, eliminating the need to create and manage snapshots for each datastore that contains virtual machine data.

Block-level replication synchronizes block devices or virtual machine disks by continuously streaming updates from source to destination VMs. Each source VM and the resulting destination VM is a replication pair. 

Live Sync I/O is available for the Virtual Server Agent with VMware streaming backup operations, using the CommCell Console or the Command Center. 

Key Features

Block-level replication provides the following benefits:

  • Eliminates the need to take and clean up snapshots frequently on the source VM, reducing the I/O impact on the production system. 
  • Enables more frequent and granular updates and synchronization between source and destination VMs, making it possible to meet reduced recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) for virtual machines.
  • Provides a dynamically pruned history of recovery points without running backups or relying on synthetic full backups to consolidate incremental updates for different points in time.

After you configure block-level replication, backup and replication begins automatically. The backup of the source VM provides the initial image for the creation of the destination VM. Replication is automatically enabled to capture subsequent updates to the source VM.

From the Command Center, you can index file and folder information for virtual machines. With file indexing for virtual machines, you can search virtual machine backups by file name and other attributes, and view visualizations of data distribution by hierarchy or file size.

This feature is supported for Windows guest VMs on the following hypervisors:

  • Amazon Web Services streaming and IntelliSnap backups
  • Microsoft Azure IntelliSnap backups
  • VMware streaming backups

File indexing is not supported for backups to tape. You cannot search or restore files from a backup copy on tape.

VM-Centric Operations for VMware

The Virtual Server Agent (VSA) for VMware supports VM-centric backup and restore operations using Indexing Version 2.

In Commvault Version 11, Service Pack 14, this support is available for streaming and IntelliSnap backup operations performed using the Virtual Server Agent (VSA) with VMware.

For a new Commvault deployment with Service Pack 14 or more recent service packs, Indexing Version 2 is enabled by default, and new VMware virtualization clients automatically use Indexing Version 2 to support VM-centric operations. For an existing Commvault deployment, you must enable Indexing Version 2.

Key Features

  • VM clients:
    • Automatically create clients, backup sets, and subclients for each virtual machine during discovery. These entities are visible to end users as well as administrators.
    • Associate VM backup sets with the parent backup set.
    • Enable or disable activity (backup, restore, and data aging) for individual VMs.
    • Specify security settings for individual VMs. In the CommCell Browser, end users can see only clients for virtual machines for which they have appropriate ownership and permissions.
    • Delete a VM client to delete the backup history for that VM.
  • Backups:
    • Perform streaming or IntelliSnap backup operations and backup copy operations.
    • A backup operation for a subclient automatically creates child jobs with unique IDs for each VM, and commits VM-specific backup data as each child job finishes.
    • Distribute VM backup jobs across the available VSA proxies and MediaAgents, with a separate stream for each job.
    • Index extents are backed up for each VM. Subclient indexes are archived after all VM backups finish.
    • Changed block tracking (CBT) information is included as part of the index metadata. Cyclic redundancy check (CRC) information is stored as part of the extent header for each extent, and changed extents are backed up.
    • Run synthetic full backup operations for individual VMs.
    • Perform multi-stream synthetic full backup operations based on schedule policy configuration.
    • Perform application-aware backups.
  • Job Control:
    • Perform job control operations for each VM.
    • Set the job priority for each VM.
  • Restores:
    • Browse and restore VMs or files from the client or subclient for an individual VM, or from the backup set for a subclient.
    • Use separate browse requests for each VM disk.
    • Customized options for end-user restore operations.
    • Perform live mount operations and live recovery operations for an individual VM, from streaming backups, IntelliSnap backups, or backup copies.
    • Perform live sync operations for each VM.

      Live sync operations must be configured for a subclient. You cannot configure a live sync schedule for an individual VM.

  • Other operations:
    • Customize retention and data aging for each VM.
    • Identify a subset of VMs for secondary copy operations.
    • Generate reports for specific VMs.

Use Changed Block Tracking for OpenStack

Changed Block Tracking (CBT) for OpenStack is a mechanism that enhances the incremental backup performance of large OpenStack cinder volumes. When enabled, CBT generates and maintains a bitmap file (which contains snapshots) of a cinder volume before and after an incremental backup operation runs. These snapshots are used as reference points. When a CBT-enabled backup is initiated, the OpenStack cvcompute API detects the changed data blocks since the last bitmap (reference point) generated during the previous CBT-enabled backup operation for that volume. Only the changed blocks that the OpenStack cvcompute API detects are backed up and written to backup media. After the incremental backup operation is complete, the previous bitmap file (reference point) that was used is deleted. The current operation's bitmap file is then used as the reference point for the next CBT-enabled incremental backup operation.

Command Center supports direct replication from VMware IntelliSnap backup snapshots.

Live Sync Direct is used for replication operations from IntelliSnap backups. Live Sync Direct mounts a snapshot from an IntelliSnap backup, then reads data from the mount directly to the destination VM. Using snapshots eliminates the need to create a backup copy for replication, provides faster replication, and minimizes the impact on the production environment. 

The snapshot can be a hardware snapshot from a storage array or a VM snapshot stored on the source VM.

VMware Support for Including RDMs and Independent Disks in IntelliSnap Backups

You can include Raw Device Mappings (RDMs) and independent disks in IntelliSnap backup operations. This feature enables backups of both physical and virtual RDMs.

RDMs provide access to raw LUNs in physical or virtual compatibility mode. Independent disks are standalone virtual disks that can be attached to a virtual machine, but are not included in virtual machine snapshots.

By default, RDMs and independent disks are not included in IntelliSnap backup operations.

Key Features

You can protect RDMs and independent disks by deploying a file system agent on the source VM. However, when you use a file system agent, you might not be able to mount restored disks on restored VMs.

When you protect RDMs and independent disks with IntelliSnap backups, you can always mount restored disks on restored VMs.

For VMware and OpenStack, you can also use a template to deploy a new File Recovery Enabler that you can use to browse UNIX file systems.

Block-Level Browse for VM File Recovery

With block-level browse, users can browse and recover files without requiring metadata collection during backup. This feature uses a block-level driver to mount a pseudo disk for browse and restore operations. For Windows VMs, the pseudo disk is mounted on a MediaAgent. For Linux VMs, the pseudo disk is mounted on a File Recovery Enabler for Linux. The browse and restore is then performed from the pseudo disk. The pseudo disk provides file system information so that browse and restore operations can read directly from stored backup data, without relying on content indexing.

Block-level browse replaces 3DFS Live Browse as the underlying mechanism for Live Browse and Live File Recovery. Block-level browse is supported from streaming backups, auxiliary copies, and backup copies. It is not supported from IntelliSnap backups.

Service Pack 5 extends block-level browse support to all hypervisors that are supported by the Virtual Server Agent.

Notes

  • After each Live Sync operation, an Integrity snapshot is created on the destination VM. During Live Sync operations, the VM is reverted to the Integrity snapshot level and writes the new incremental data to the blobs (snapshots).

Clone a DB2 or SAP HANA Database

You can duplicate the source database by cloning the snapshots that were created during the backup. The cloning feature uses the storage array hardware capability.

You can use the cloning feature to do the following:

  • Duplicate large databases in a short amount of time
  • Create test environments

You can create a clone from an existing data and log volume full backup. When you create a clone, you must specify the reservation period. When the reservation period expires, the system automatically frees up the staging path and the clone database.

Schedule clones to run periodically so that the clones are refreshed regularly.

Support for the HDS Targetless Snapshot CCI Engine

The Commvault software already supports the HDS CCI engine that produces Thin Image snapshots. In this release, we added support for the HDS Targetless Snap CCI engine as part of Commvault IntelliSnap suite, in order to support data protection operations  and management operations with HDS storage arrays that have the CCI engine.

Key Features

The Targetless HDS snapshot engine uses the Thin Image pool to store snapshots without creating a secondary volume at the time of the snapshot.

The additional storage volume for storing the snapshot data is created only upon request—that is, when users trigger a snapshot operation such as a mount operation or a browse operation.

The storage volume is then provisioned, and is deleted as soon as the operation is complete. During a hardware revert operation, the snapshot data from the Thin Image pool is used to restore the source device’s contents.

The benefit of using the HDS Targetless Snap CCI engine is that is consumes less space for the snapshot backups.

File and folder sharing from Web Console was enhanced to include the following new features:

  • Password protection for a public share link. Users must enter the password to view the shared link.
  • Expiry date for a shared file or folder. You can define a specific number of days or set the expiry to infinite.

You can evaluate Commvault’s Content Analyzer and Entity Extraction feature using the Cloud-Based Sensitive Data Discovery tool to identify and report sensitive data (such as personal identification numbers or credit card numbers) that exists in a set of files.

To use the Cloud-Based Sensitive Data Discovery tool, upload a set of files to the Commvault Cloud site. After you upload the files, you will receive a link to a report that includes information about the sensitive entities, also called personally identifiable information (PII), that exist in the files.

NFS Object Store provides an NFS interface to the Commvault Content Store so that users can protect and recover their data by using native NFS client software.

NFS ObjectStore does not require a dedicated Commvault Data Agent package on clients. NFS shares are mounted on clients and then become part of the file system namespace and are accessible to applications through the native file system interface. Applications can seamlessly access their data directly from the backup media.

NFS ObjectStore can support powerful use cases, for example running SQL queries on database backups without actually recovering entire database.

  • NFS Clients. NFS Clients are any machines that can mount an NFSv3 or NFSv4 share.

Note: A minimal server installation requires one Windows computer for the CommServe software and for the Index Server, and another computer for the NFS ObjectStore software.

With the tiered cloud storage solution, you can move infrequently accessed data from primary storage media, such as a disk library, to a more inexpensive cloud library. Using the reference copy subclient feature, you can move individual files within a subclient to tiered cloud storage and set retention rules to prune data that has been moved to the cloud from primary storage. Both the data in primary storage and the data in cloud storage are managed from the same backup set, so managing the data is easier for administrators.

After migration, the user can manage the files from the Web Console, and can have access to all Web Console features.

  • To facilitate the migration of data, you can copy the data to a staging location and schedule backups of the data to the ObjectStore. When the backups are complete, the solution removes the data from the staging location automatically.
