Getting a Database Out of Single User or Restoring Mode

When the CommServe LiveSync operation is enabled, the databases must be set to Full recovery model.

Symptom

CommServeLiveSync.log has the following message:

Connecting to the database failed - error returned was: INFO: [Login failed for user 'sqladmin_cv'.]

Solution

  1. Open SQL Management Studio.
  2. Verify and ensure that the Recovery Model for databases included in the LiveSync operation is set to Full.

    For more information on viewing or changing the recovery model, see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/backup-restore/view-or-change-the-recovery-model-of-a-database-sql-server?view=sql-server-2017.

  3. If the database is is not set to the Full recovery model, run the following query:

    USE [master] ;
    ALTER DATABASE [model] SET RECOVERY FULL

    Where:

    [model] must be replaced with the name of the database.
