Recover To

Use this wizard to create the response file for the client computer which you want to recover. A response file saves the client configuration, which can be used later for Non-interactive 1-Touch Recovery.

Select a Job

This is the first step in the wizard. In this step you can select the backup job from which you want to recover the operating system.

Next

Click this button to go to the Clone Machine Options screen. Alternatively, click Clone Machine Options.

Cancel

Click this button to cancel 1-Touch Recovery .

Clone Machine Options

In this step you can change the client configuration. The response file will be created with modified client configuration.

Create Clone

Select this option to clone the physical client.

General Tab

Following options are available to modify the client configuration:

Host Name

The host name of the CommServe for the selected client.

Client Name

The name of the CommServe Client.

IP Address

Enter the IP Address of the CommServe which is used to backup the client.

Back

Click this button to go back to the Select a Job screen.

Next

Click this button to go to the Select Recovery Options screen. Alternatively, click Select Recovery Options.

Cancel

Click this button to cancel 1-Touch Recovery.

Configuration Tab

Following options are available to modify the client configuration:

New Client Name

Type the name of the new client.

New Hostname

Type the host name of the new client.

DNS

Displays DNS server details.

Suffix

If you want to change the DNS Suffix of the client, enter the new DNS Suffix.

Add

Click this button to add IP addresses of the DNS Servers in the order of use. For example, primary DNS, secondary DNS etc.,

Edit

Click this button to edit the IP address of the DNS Servers.

Remove

Click this button to remove a DNS server from the list.

Network Configuration

Displays a list of all Network Interfaces available in the client. Select the interface which you want to use after the restore.

Add

Click this option to add a new Network Interface.

Edit

Click this option to change an existing Network Interface.

Delete

Click this option to delete a Network Interface.

Back

Click this button to go back to the Select a Job screen.

Next

Click this button to go to the Select Recovery Options screen. Alternatively, click Select Recovery Options.

Cancel

Click this button to cancel 1-Touch Recovery.

Select Recovery Options

In this step, following options are available to modify the restore options for the client:

Recover All Volume Groups

Select this option to recover all the volume groups on the client. If this option is not selected, only the rootvg volume will be restored.

Preserve Existing Volume Groups

Select this option to preserve the existing volume groups on the client during restore. If this option is not selected, existing volume groups will be removed, and new volumes will be created based on information collected during the selected backup job.

Automatic Client Reboot

Select this option to specify that the appropriate boot server will automatically reboot the client when the client is ready. You can deselect this option to reboot the client manually. However, the client can be rebooted only when the recovery has completed.

Restore data from the latest backup

This option is selected by default. The latest backup data and client configuration is used for restore.

Restore data from the backup that occurred before this date:

Select a date and time to restore data from the backup performed before this date and time. The selected time period cannot be earlier than the end time for the backup job that was selected in the Select a Job dialog box.

Time zone

The default time zone of the CommServe is selected automatically. Select the Time zone if you want to use the backup performed in a different time zone.

Do not restore data other than on Root Volume Group

Click this option if you do not wish to restore data other than that on the Root Volume Group. Only the basic operating system is restored.

Advanced

Click this button to administer additional 1-Touch Recovery options.

Back

Click this button to go back to the Clone Machine Options screen.

Next

Click this button to go to the Summary screen. Alternatively, click Summary.

Cancel

Click this button to cancel 1-Touch Recovery.

Summary

The summary of recovery options selected is displayed in this step.

Back

Click this button to go back to the Select Recovery Options screen.

Finish

Click this button to start 1-Touch Recovery .

Cancel

Click this button to cancel 1-Touch Recovery .
