IntelliSnap Software Requirements for the OSDP 7-Mode Feature

On the following location

IntelliSnap 11.0 SP2 or later

 

MediaAgent

On any client computer whose data will be backed up using the OSDP 7-Mode feature

IntelliSnap qSnap driver, or Linux LVM, or Veritas VxvM

On UNIX client computers. The backup source must be from a device that is either a qsnap device, or a Linux Logical Volume Manager (LVM), or a Veritas Volume Manager (VxvM).

You must also do the following:

  • For partitioned volumes, set the cvbf cache location on a different volume than the volume that will be backed up.
  • For Linux, to back up the root partitioned volume, set the cvbf cache location to a volume that will not be part of the snapshot. Edit the following registry key to a value that is different from the default /opt/commvault/CVBF/cache.

      /etc/CommVaultRegistry/Galaxy/Instance001/FileSystemAgent/sCVBFSNAPPART
