Getting Started with Commvault Appliance A410 or A210

The process flow for configuring the Commvault Appliance A410 or A210 as a CommServe and MediaAgent involves the following tasks in the order listed:

  1. Collect all the information required to configure the appliance.

    For more information, see Preparing for the Commvault Appliance A410 or A210 Installation.

  2. Depending on your requirements, install the Commvault Appliance A410 or A210 with the CommServe and the MediaAgent or with the MediaAgent only.
  3. Change the default Windows administrator password for the Commvault Appliance A410 or A210.

  4. Register the Commvault Appliance A410 or A210 and procuring permanent license.

  5. Verify the components that are configured by default during the installation, such as disk library and deduplication storage policy.

  6. Configure the Virtual Server Agent on the Commvault Appliance A410 or A210.

  7. Install additional data protection client agents from the CommCell Console. Client agents are software modules that perform data protection and data recovery operations for specific operating systems or applications.
