DB2 Restore Options (Restore Arguments)
Use this tab to administer the type of restore, the backup images available for restore, and the report file.
Number of Buffers
The number of buffers for the restore. Default is 2. However, if you restore to multiple locations, use a sufficient number of buffers to improve performance, the restore might fail.
The size (in 4 KB pages) of each buffer to be used for building the backup image. The minimum value is 8, and the default value is 1024. If you select value 0, the value of the backbufz in the database manager configuration parameter will be used as the buffer allocation size.
The number of table to read in parallel for restore. If the number is not set, optimal value will be chosen automatically.
Recover Table Until
Lists the options. The default is to recover the tables to the current time.
- To the End of the Logs
Recover the DB2 tables per all the logs associated with the database or partitions.
- To a Point in Time
Recover the DB2 tables to a specific point in time. To change this time, click in the list as appropriate.
- To End of Backup
Recover the DB2 tables to the earliest time during a rollforward operation that the database was consistent. For additional information on this option, go to the IBM website, END OF BACKUP.
Click to select additional restore options.
Save As Script
Click to open the Save As Script dialog, which allows you to save this operation and the selected options as a script file (in XML format). The script can later be executed from the Command Line Interface using qoperation execute command.
When you save an operation as a script, each option in the dialog will have a corresponding XML parameter in the script file. When executing the script, you can modify the value for any of these XML parameters.
