Directive File Format for Ad-Hoc Backups for UNIX
Content for ad-hoc backups is defined through a directive file, which is a text file that defines the location of the data that you want to back up.
The directive file contains the fully qualified paths from the root directory to the directories and devices which you want to back up. The directive file must be placed on the client computer.
Important: Do not use filters, wildcards, or regular expressions in the directive file.
