Deleting an Instance of Lustre (File System)

If you do not need an instance anymore, you can delete it.

Caution: If you delete an instance, you cannot recover the backed-up data that is associated with the instance.


  1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > pseudo-client > Big Data Apps > instance.
  2. Right-click the instance that you want to delete, point to All Tasks, and then click Delete.
  3. In the confirmation message, click Yes.

    The instance and all of its subclients are deleted.
