Modifying a Data Classification Plan
You can modify the properties of a data classification plan. For example, you can change the entities associated with a plan.
You can edit information in the following sections:
- Advanced options
- Content indexing
- Entity detection
Note: The software only detects the selected entities for end-user data requests and projects that use this plan. If you remove an entity type, those entities are not available for projects and inventories associated with the plan. For information about built-in entity types, see Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Entity Types. For information about creating custom entity types, see Creating a Custom Entity Type in Entity Manager.
- From the navigation pane, expand Configuration, and then click Plans.
The Plans page appears.
- Click the plan name that you want to configure.
The plan name details page appear.
- In the appropriate section, click Edit.
The edit pane appears.
- Update the options.
- Click Save.
What to Do Next
If you change the entities associated with a data classification plan, you must run a data collection job to update the data with the new entity information. For information about running a a data collection job, see Updating Inventory Information or Updating Asset Information.
