Automatic Schedule Pattern Options

Schedule an operation to run automatically when the criteria of the schedule pattern are met.

Job Interval

You can configure job-related criteria for the schedule.

  • Min job interval

    The minimum amount of time between scheduled operations. No operations will start for the minimum job interval time after the last scheduled operation starts.

  • Max job interval

    The maximum amount of time between scheduled operations. If no other criteria are met within the maximum job interval time, then the scheduled operation starts.

  • Minimum sync interval

    The minimum amount of time between sync operations. Sync is used to determine if there are any files that need to be backed up on the computer.

  • Ignore operation window at maximum interval

    Select to ignore the criteria specified by the operation window rules if the schedule starts because of the maximum job interval criteria.

Network Management

You can configure network-related criteria for the schedule.

  • Use only wired network

    Select to start the scheduled operation only if the computer if connected to a wired network and not wi-fi.

  • Min network bandwidth

    Select to configure the minimum network bandwidth to use for the scheduled operation, specified in kilobytes per seconds (kbps).

  • Use specific network

    Select to configure a specific network IP address and port number to use for the scheduled operation.

Power Management

You can configure power-related criteria for the schedule.

  • Start only if the computer is running on A/C power

    Select to start the scheduled operation only if the computer is connected to an A/C power source and not running on battery power.

  • Stop the task if battery mode begins

    For devices running on battery power, select to stop the scheduled operation if the device enters a low-power low-battery mode. This option can only be enabled if Start only if the computer is running on A/C power is not selected.

  • Prevent computer from going to sleep if any jobs are running

    Select to stop the computer from going into sleep mode if a scheduled operation is running on the computer.

Resource Utilization

You can configure computer resource-related criteria for the schedule.

  • Start only if CPU utilization below

    Select to start the scheduled operation only if the computer CPU is using less than the specified percent of its capacity.
