Adjusting Job Polling and Timeouts for Oracle VM

By default, the timeout interval for Oracle VM operations is 24 hours.

If Commvault jobs that are performing Oracle VM operations such as cloning VMs or attaching and detaching disks are not completing successfully, you can create additional settings on the VSA proxy to control the job polling interval and timeout interval.

For instructions on adding additional settings from the CommCell Console, see Add or Modify an Additional Setting.

  • To change the job polling interval, create the nOracleVMJobPollIntervalSecs additional setting on the VSA proxy as shown in the following table.

    Property

    Value

    Name

    nOracleVMJobPollIntervalSecs

    Category

    VirtualServer

    Type

    Integer

    Value

    5-2147483647 (seconds)

  • To change the timeout interval, create the nOracleVMJobWaitTimeoutMins additional setting on the VSA proxy as shown in the following table.

    Property

    Value

    Name

    nOracleVMJobWaitTimeoutMins

    Category

    VirtualServer

    Type
