Creating a Backup Set for the MEDITECH Data

You must create a backup set to protect the MEDITECH data.

When you create a backup set for the MEDITECH data, you must enable the MEDITECH feature for the backup set.

When you enable this option, you can create subclients in the backup set for the MEDITECH data.

Best Practice: Do not make the MEDITECH backup set the default backup set.

  2. Configure the MEDITECH client for IntelliSnap.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Console, expand Client Computers > client > File System.
  2. Right-click File System, point to All Tasks, and then click Create New Backup Set.
  3. In the Create New Backup Set dialog box, enter information about the backup set:
    • In the New Backup Set Name box, type the new backup set name.
    • In the Storage Policy box, type a storage policy name that you want to use.
    • Clear the Make this the Default Backup Set check box.
  4. Click OK to apply the settings and create the backup set.
  5. From the CommCell Console, expand Client Computers > client > File System.
