Configuring the Index Server for Data Cube

To create data sources in Data Cube, you must configure at least one Index Server in your CommCell environment. The Index Server is a logical CommCell entity used to perform indexing, search, analytics, and store the data for Data Cube.

Procedure

• Perform one of the following tasks:
  • To add the Data Analytics role to an Index Server already configured in your CommCell environment, see Updating Roles Configured on an Index Server.
  • To create an Index Server and to add the Data Analytics role to the new Index Server, see Adding an Index Server Entity to Your CommCell Environment.

Result

You can use the configured Index Server for Data Cube functions, such as crawling data sources and storing Data Cube indexing data.
