Preparing for the Commvault Appliance A600 Installation

Use the following table to record the information required for the installation and the configuration of Commvault Appliance A600.

Fully Qualified Domain Name or Host name

Commvault Appliance A600 has a default host name. Change the hostname according to your preferences.

The hostname must be fully resolvable and addressable by all client computers and MediaAgents in the CommCell environment.

Commvault Appliance A600 has two 10 GigE network ports. You can use these ports to meet various network demands, such as when ingesting data, DASH copy and mounting ISCSI volumes with IntelliSnap.

Assign 192.168.128.x and 192.168.128.y to the A600 1 GB management port to communicate with the disk array.

To register the appliance and generate a permanent license, the Commvault Appliance unique serial number is required.
