Find Data (Search)

Use the space to specify the name or wildcard pattern of the file, directory, or object to find.
The following list provides details of supported wildcard characters:
- The Active Directory iDataAgent does not support the use of wildcard expressions.
- For Windows, Unix, SharePoint Document and NAS NDMP iDataAgents, and File Archiver Agents see Wildcards (File System).
- For Lotus Notes Document iDataAgent, see Wildcards (Lotus Notes Document).
Subject, From, To
Use these spaces to specify the message or item, or the wildcard pattern of the message or item to find. The check-box specifies whether the find operation searches the specified pattern in these fields. Clear the check-box if you not want to search by a particular criteria.
Note that for non-message file types, the Subject field will search for the filename and the To field will search for the creator of the file. For a list of supported wildcards supported by the Exchange Mailbox, Public Folder iDataAgents, Exchange Compliance Archiver, and the Exchange Mailbox/Public Folder Archiver Agents, see Wildcards (Exchange).
