Adding a CIFS or NFS Network Share Backup to a NAS Client

You can add a CIFS or NFS network share to a NAS client by adding an existing Windows File System Agent or UNIX File System Agent to the NAS client.

Before You Begin

You must have a Windows or UNIX client configured in your CommCell environment.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers.

2. Right-click the NAS client, point to All Tasks, and then click Add Network Share Backup.

   The Modify NAS/Network Share Client dialog box appears.

3. Select the Network Share check box, and then select the operating system of the client you want to add.

4. In the file system agent under the NAS client, create a new subclient and add the path to the CIFS or NFS network share to the subclient content. See Creating User Defined Subclients.
