The Commvault software expands content (such as Image and Office) at run time. For more information, see Supported File Extensions in Content Library.
Also, during the backup, the following files are filtered or excluded from the backup:

C:\Program Files

C:\Program Files (x86)

You can configure your laptop backups to include or exclude one or more laptop backup content locations.
