By default, backup jobs that you perform from the CommCell Console resume from the beginning of the database backup phase for any failure.
The default restartability behavior is the same for all device types.
If you use the util_fil, or the util_file_online device types, then you can configure the software to restart jobs that failed in the config phase to restart from the config phase instead of the beginning.
Log backups always resume from the failure point. For example, if the job fails during the config phase, then the job resumes from the config phase and the log backup is not repeated.
