An analytics job collects information about the file system data or email data residing on clients in your CommCell environment. You can run analytics at the client or client group levels from the CommCell Console. When you run analytics on a client, a Data Analytics report is created for the individual client in the Web Console. When you run analytics on a client group, a Data Analytics report is created that contains all of the client information in a single report in the Web Console.
Running Analytics Jobs on a Client
You can run analytics jobs from the client level in the CommCell Console. After you run analytics, you will be able to view the Data Analytics report for the individual client in the Web Console. Run analytics at the client level to view information about individual clients in your CommCell environment.

Running Analytics Jobs on a Client Group
You can run analytics jobs from the client group level in the CommCell Console. After you run analytics, you will be able to view a single Data Analytics report that contains the information gathered from all of the clients in the client group from the Web Console. Run analytics at the client group level to view information about several clients combined into a single report.
Note
To run analytics jobs for Virtual Server Agent clients, you must run analytics on a client group that only contains Virtual Server Agent clients.
