Protect SAP MSSQL Database

You can perform backup and restore operations of SAP applications on SQL Server using the Commvault software SQL Server iDataAgent.

Follow these steps to perform a backup from the Commvault software.

1. Configure the SQL Server instance and subclient from the CommCell Console. For step-by-step instructions, see Manually Discovering SQL Databases.

2. Initiate the backup from the software. For step-by-step instructions, see Backing Up SQL Databases.

3. You can track the backup job progress from the Job Controller window of the CommCell Console.
