Protect SAP Sybase Database

You can protect the Sybase database that is used by SAP, by using the Commvault software Sybase iDataAgent.

1. Configure the Sybase instance and subclient from the CommCell Console. For step-by-step instructions, see Getting Started - Sybase iDataAgent - Configuration.

2. Initiate the backup from the software. For step-by-step instructions, see Getting Started - Sybase iDataAgent - Backup.

3. You can track the backup job progress from the Job Controller window of the CommCell Console.
