Reconciling the Snapshots of a Storage Array Using Array Management

Snapshots might be deleted from an array for reasons such as the array has low disk space, or the number of snapshots exceeds the threshold. When a snapshot is deleted, you cannot use the job that created that snapshot for data recovery or backup copy operations.

Check for missing snapshots on-demand by clicking Reconcile Snaps in Array Management. Reconcile Snaps reconciles snapshots for individual arrays. To use Reconcile Snaps, complete the steps in the following procedure.

Note: The additional setting nRunSnapRecon has been deprecated in Commvault V11 SP8.

Procedure

1. On the ribbon in the CommCell Console, click the Storage tab, and then click Array Management.

2. In the Array Management dialog box, select an array.

3. Click Reconcile Snaps.

   A message box displays the job identifier number.

4. Click OK.
