You can restore virtual machines (VMs) in place or to a new destination. Restoring Full Virtual Machines is supported for both Windows and Linux clients.
File level restore is supported from backup copy only.
You can restore guest files and folders from VM backups to a physical or VM. You cannot restore files or folders to the source VM.
IntelliSnap for Nutanix AHV does not support a restore from one cluster to a remote cluster. A restore from an IntelliSnap operation only works on the same cluster in which the backup was performed because it requires the location of the snapshot disks on the NDFS for the given IntelliSnap backup job. If a restore from one cluster to another is attempted, the job will fail indicating that the cluster information is not available.
