Use this dialog box to specify the time period for which you want to retain the items in the storage media.
Retain jobs for n years n months and n days
Storage policy copy days retention applies to backed up items only if it is longer than the job-based retention value. Between storage policy copy retention and archive retention, the file is retained for the longest retention setting.
Retain jobs indefinitely
This is the default option. If you select the Retain retention indefinitely option, the jobs are retained indefinitely in the storage media, in the storage policy copy which has the longest retention time.
