The System Discovery and Archive Analyzer for Applications can help you to estimate how much data protection you need for the applications in your environment. The tool collects application information from all of the computers in your domain. The collected data is used to create a report regarding the type and size of each application.
How It Works
Request a temporary account for Cloud Services from your Account Representative, and then log in to download the System Discovery and Archive Analyzer for Applications. The tool runs a discovery job your computer system and creates a .zip file that contains the discovered data. Discovered data includes only application information:

Application names

Application size
-
Whether applications are protected by Commvault

If applications are protected, the type of agent that protects them
After the data discovery job is complete, you must upload the .zip file to Cloud Services. Next, the contents of the .zip file are analyzed and used to generate a report. Finally, your Account Representative will send you an email with this report attached.
