Add / Edit Cloud Storage (General)

Use this dialog box to add or edit a cloud storage device or add a MediaAgent to an existing cloud storage device.

Name

Specifies the name of the Cloud Library.

Device Name

Specifies the unique device name generated by the system.

Type

Specifies the type of the cloud storage server. Select the server type of the cloud storage device.

MediaAgent

Specifies the name of the MediaAgent to which the device is attached. Select a MediaAgent from the list to add to the cloud storage device. The list contains the names of all the MediaAgents configured in the CommCell.

Access Information

Specifies the credentials required to access the cloud storage space. This information varies with the type of the cloud storage server. This field is displayed only when a new device is added.

From the Credential list, select an appropriate credential to access the mount path. To create a new credential, click the Create New button. For more information about managing credentials, see Credential Manager.

Bucket

In the Bucket box, type the bucket name. From the Storage Class list, select the appropriate storage class for your account.

To use an existing bucket in the cloud library, click the Detect button.

Note

Sometimes, existing bucket list may not get populated while detecting the buckets, as some vendors may not support this operation, or if there are no permissions to complete the operation. In such cases, type the name of the existing bucket that you want to use. The system will automatically use the existing bucket if it is available.
