Adding the PostgreSQL Database Agent to the Pseudoclient

Add the PostgreSQL Agent to the pseudoclient computer.

Before You Begin

Verify that the proxy client computer is in the running state.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, go to Client Computers.

  2. Right-click the pseudoclient computer, and then go to All Tasks > Add Database Agent > PostgreSQL.

    The PostgreSQL Properties dialog box appears.

  3. On the Cloud Configuration tab, add the proxy client computer:

    1. Click Add.

      The Select Clients / Client Groups dialog box appears.

    2. Select the proxy client computer, and then click Include.

    3. Click OK.

    The PostgreSQL Properties dialog box appears.

  4. Click the proxy client computer that you added.

  5. Verify that the PostgreSQL database version and the installation path of the PostgreSQL database are populated.

    (For example, for Linux the installation path can be /opt/commvault/CVCloudAddOns/PostgreSQL/9.5, and for Windows the installation path can be C:\Program Files\Commvault\ContentStore\CVCloudAddOns\PostgreSQL\9.5)

    • If the properties are populated, click OK.

    • If the properties are not populated, then complete the following steps:

      1. Click Add.

      2. Add the properties.

      3. Click OK.

What to Do Next

If the proxy client computer has PostgreSQL databases of more than one version, you can configure the version and the database location information. For more information, see Configuring the PostgreSQL Database Version of a Proxy Client Computer.
