The alert criteria you select trigger the alert. For example, if you create an alert for the data aging operation and select "Job Failed" as the alert criterion, the alert is trigger when the data aging job fails. After the alert is triggered, the alert notification is generated. For information on alert notifications, see Alert Notification Type Overview.
The following types of alert criteria are available in the Alert Wizard:

Predefined criteria
These criteria are set on the Threshold and Notification Criteria Selection page.

Token-based criteria
These criteria are set on the Token Criteria Selection page.

Custom alert criteria
