Associating Users to a Storage Policy

You can associate specific users or user groups to a storage policy. The associated users can view and use the storage policy for backup and restore operations. The storage policy will not be available for other users.

Procedure

1. Verify that you have a role that has the Storage Policy Management permission.

   For instructions, see Creating a Role.

2. From the CommCell Browser, expand Policies | Storage Policies.

3. Right-click the appropriate storage policy, and then click Properties.

4. On the Security tab, click Add to create a security association with the following:

   • Users and Groups: Select the user groups you want to associate with the Storage Policy

   • Role: Must include the Storage Policy Management permission

5. Click OK.
