Client Installations

Complete the following tasks to install agents and other Commvault software on Windows and UNIX client computers.

  1. Plan the client installation.

    Review general guidelines to prepare your environment for the client installation. Based on the computer's operating system, review the following topics:

  2. Install Commvault packages on the client computer.

    Install the software on the client computer using either the CommCell Console or the installation package that was created from the Download Manager. See Installing Commvault Packages on Client Computers.

  3. Perform postinstallation tasks.

    Perform tasks after the client installation. See Postinstallation Tasks for Clients.
