The Oracle Multitenant architecture allows you to create multiple pluggable databases (PDB) that are contained in a container database (CDB). Business needs may dictate that the pluggable databases be backed up and stored on different schedules. The Commvault software provides the capability to create separate subclients for one or more pluggable databases from the CommCell Console. You can then perform backups on each subclient, either immediately, or on a schedule.
