Configuring the Dell EMC Storage Center (DSM) Storage Array Using Array Management

Add the Dell EMC Storage Center (DSM) storage array in Array Management in the CommCell Console.

Procedure

1. On the ribbon in the CommCell Console, click the Storage tab, and then click Array Management.

   The Array Management dialog box appears.

2. Click Add.

   The Array Properties dialog box appears.

3. On the General tab, specify the following information:

   1. From the Snap Vendor list, select Dell EMC Storage Center (DSM).

   2. In the Name box, enter the storage center serial number of the array.

   3. In the Control Host box, enter the management IP address of the Data Storage Manager (DSM).

   4. In the Credentials area, click Change.

      The Enter the User Name and Password dialog box appears.

   5. Type the credentials of a user who has the Administrator privilege to access the DSM, and then click OK.

4. Optional: Add an array controller if you have the following scenarios:

   • To use the secondary live snapshot for the backup copy operation, click the Array Access Nodes tab, and then add a proxy MediaAgent or a source computer as array access node for the secondary array.

   • To add a MediaAgent to perform additional operations on the storage array, click the Array Access Nodes tab, and then select the options that you want for the MediaAgent.

5. Optional: On the Snap Configuration tab, modify the snapshot options.

6. Click OK.
