Configuring the NetApp SolidFire Storage Array Using Array Management

For IntelliSnap backups from Commvault software, add the NetApp SolidFire storage array and its configuration information to the CommServe database.

Before You Begin

The Cluster Admin user needs the following access settings for snapshot operations:

  • Volume

  • Cluster Admin

  • Reporting

Procedure

  1. On the ribbon in the CommCell Console, click the Storage tab, and then click Array Management.

    The Array Management dialog box appears.

  2. Click Add.

    The Array Properties dialog box appears.

  3. On the General tab, specify the following information:

    1. From the Snap Vendor list, select NetApp SolidFire.

    2. In the Name box, enter the Management Virtual IP.

    3. In the Credentials area, click Change.

      The Enter the User Name and Password dialog box appears.

    4. Type the credentials of a user who has the Cluster Admin privileges to access the array, and access to reporting and volumes.

    5. Click OK.

  4. To configure additional MediaAgents to perform operations on the storage array, click the Array Access Nodes tab, and then select configuration options.

  5. On the Snap Configuration tab, configure the snapshot configuration properties for your environment or use the default values.

  6. Click OK.
