Configuring the Search Engine

Before you can search your content indexed data, you must configure the search engine.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, go to Storage Resources > Search Engines > Search Engine.

2. In the search engine window on the right, right-click the Search Engine Node, and then click Properties.

   The Search Engine Node Properties dialog box appears.

3. On the JVM Settings tab, in the Java Min Memory (MB) box and the Java Max Memory (MB) box select values for the minimum and maximum memory that can be allocated to the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).

   Note

   50% or more of the physical memory of the Search Engine server must be allocated to the JVM.

   

4. Click OK.
