Creating Clustered Data ONTAP Peers

To perform replication between clusters in clustered Data ONTAP, you need to create cluster peering.

Before You Begin

Install OnCommand Unified Manager (OCUM) 6.x or later or Active IQ Unified Manager 9.6 and 9.7. For more information, see OnCommand Unified Manager.

Procedure

  1. Create cluster peering, see Creating cluster peer relationships in Data ONTAP 8.2 in the Clustered Data ONTAP 8.2- Cluster and Vserver Peering Express Guide.

  2. Add both the source cluster and the destination cluster into OCUM or Active IQ Unified Manager.

  3. Configure Clustered Data ONTAP.
