Creating a Subclient for MySQL Databases

To protect a subset of the databases in the MySQL server instance, create a subclient.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, go to Client Computers > client > MySQL.

2. Right-click the instance, and then click All Tasks > New Subclient.

   The Create New Subclient dialog box appears.

3. On the General tab, in the Subclient name box, type a unique name for the subclient.

4. On the Content tab, specify the data to include in the backup:

   1. Click Configure.

      The MySQL Database Configuration dialog box appears.

   2. In the Database Name column, make the following selections:

      1. In the Database Name column, select the databases to include in the backup.

      2. In the Subclient Name column, select the subclient to associate with the database.

      3. Click OK.

5. On the Storage Device tab, from the Storage Policy list, select the storage policy name.

6. Click OK.
