Creating a Subclient for PostgreSQL Databases

To protect a subset of the databases in the PostgreSQL server instance, create a subclient.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, go to Client Computers > client > PostgreSQL > instance.

2. Right-click DumpBasedBackupSet, and then click All Tasks > New Subclient.

   The Creating PostgreSQL Subclient dialog box appears.

3. On the General tab, in the Subclient box, type a unique name for the subclient.

4. On the Content tab, specify the data to include in the backup:

   1. Click Configure.

      The PostgreSQL Database Configuration dialog box appears.

   2. Click Discover.

   3. In the Database Name column, select the databases to include in the backup.

   4. In the Subclient Name column, select the subclient to associate with the database.

   5. Click OK.

5. On the Storage Device tab, from the Storage Policy list, select the storage policy name.

6. Click OK.
