Use this dialog box to configure the Exchange Service Account credentials as you create the Exchange Mailbox client.
The service types that are available depend on what environment you selected on the Environment Type tab.
On-Premises Environment Service Type
Applies to:

On-premises environments (Exchange 2007 or later)

Hybrid environments (Exchange 2010 or later)
Service type
The version of Exchange Server that is installed on the computer where the service account is hosted. For example, Exchange 2013.
User name
The user name of the service account.
If you use ContentStore Mailbox, the service account must be the same for archiving and restore operations.
Password
The password of the service account.
Confirm password
Reenter the password of the service account.
Use static profile
By default, the Exchange Mailbox client uses a dynamic profile. When this check box is selected, the Exchange Mailbox client uses a static profile.

The service account profile in Microsoft Outlook on the access node.
Local System Account Service Type
Applies to:

Office 365 with Exchange using on-premises Active Directory environments

Office 365 with Exchange using Azure AD environments
The local system account is a local administrator on the access node.
Service type
Select Local System Account.
User name
The user name of the service account.
If you use the ContentStore Mailbox, the service account must be the same for archiving and restore operations.
Password
The password of the service account.
Confirm password
Reenter the password of the service account.
Exchange Online Service Type

Office 365 with Exchange using on-premises Active Directory environments

The Exchange Online service type is used when you configure Office 365 with Exchange Administrator Accounts.
Service type
Select Exchange Online.
Email address
The SMTP email address of the Exchange (Exchange Online) Administrator Account.
Password
The password of the service account.
Confirm password
Reenter the password of the service account.
Use static profile
By default, the Exchange Mailbox client uses a dynamic profile. When this check box is selected, the Exchange Mailbox client uses a static profile. You must use a static profile for Office 365 with Exchange environments.
