Use this dialog box to define a new instance or view the properties of an existing instance.
Client Name
Displays the name of the client computer on which this instance is found.
DataAgent
Displays the name of the agent to which this instance belongs.
INFORMIX SERVER
Displays the name of the instance or instance-like object.
INFORMIX Version
Displays the application version on which the agent was installed or upgraded on the client computer.
INFORMIX USER
Displays the application user account established for the database to perform all Backup and Restore operations for this instance.
INFORMIX DIR
Displays the path to the application's Home directory. Click Browse to change this path.
ONCONFIG File
Specifies the name of the ONCONFIG file, which is used to help administer the number of streams, among other capabilities. Click Browse to change the file name.
SQLHOSTS File
Specifies the full path to the SQLHOSTS file, which is used to connect to the database. Click Browse to change the path.
INFORMIX Status
Displays the state of the database. Informix states are Online, Offline, Quiescent, or Fast Recovery. Click Refresh to know the current status of the instance.
