IntelliSnap Backups Using EBS Snapshots

You can perform crash-consistent snapshot backups for Amazon Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) using the Virtual Server Agent. You can perform application- and crash-consistent snapshot backups for Elastic Block Store volumes using other Commvault agents.

You can use the Commvault IntelliSnap functionality to perform snapshot operations with the AWS as a snapshot engine. With IntelliSnap, you can perform the following snapshot operations:

• IntelliSnap backup operations with all supported device types and data types

• IntelliSnap restore operations and revert operations

You can perform IntelliSnap operations on the following agents:

• MongoDB

• Oracle

• SAP HANA

• UNIX File System

• Virtual Server Agent for Amazon

You can back up the following data content:

• Amazon

• Amazon RDS

• Amazon Redshift
