In the CommCell Console each instance references a Sybase server. Hence, it is necessary to create an instance for each Sybase Server to be backed up.

Verify that the interface file that exists at the following locations have Sybase server and Sybase backup server entries:

For Windows, at %Sybase%\ini\sql.ini

For UNIX, at <SybaseHome/interfaces>
