Monitor the Performance of the Deduplication Database

You can monitor the deduplication savings, the capacity of the deduplication database (DDB), the DDB performance, the status of the DDB, and the space that is space available on the DDB disk from the following levels:

  • Deduplication engines

  • Storage policy copies

  • Deduplication database

  • Deduplication database partitions

This monitoring is useful to manage the DDB based on the DDB performance, the DDB status and the data growth on the DDB.

To display the storage policy copies under the Deduplication Engines node, you must have the following permissions assigned to a CommCell user group:

  • Storage Policy Management

  • MediaAgent Management, on MediaAgents associated with those storage policies

To create a security association with these permissions, see Administering the Security Associations of a User Group for instructions.
