Oracle RAC Instances

You create Oracle RAC instances as part of the procedure that you use to create an Oracle RAC client. You can create multiple Oracle database instances in the CommCell Console by configuring an Oracle RAC client. For information on how to configure an Oracle RAC client, see Configuration - Creating a Client for Oracle RAC.

You must install the Oracle Agent on at least one node in the Oracle RAC instance. You cannot remove that node from the Oracle RAC instance unless you have more than one configured Oracle RAC node. When you delete a node from the Oracle RAC instance, the software does not delete the backup data. You can restore the data by using another eligible client.
