During fast incremental backups, the file server client creates a snapshot, and then a backup is performed from that snapshot. For more information about fast incremental backups, see your file server vendor documentation.
Configuring at the Subclient Level

From the CommCell Browser, go to client > NDMP > defaultBackupSet.

In the right pane, right-click the subclient, and then click Backup.
The Backup Options dialog box appears.

On the Backup Options tab, click Advanced.
The Advanced Backup Options dialog box appears.

On NAS Options tab, select the Fast Incremental (Use Snapshot for Backup) check box, and then click OK.

Select the backup type and schedule.

Click OK.
Configuring at the Schedule Policy Level

From the schedule policy dialog box under Tasks, click Add.
The Backup Task Options dialog box appears.

On the Backup Options tab, click Advanced.
The Advanced Backup Options dialog box appears.

On the NAS Options tab, under Backup from Snapshot, click Yes.
