To rename the old laptop client with underscore ('_')repurposed and retain the name for the new laptop client, create the dAllowLaptopRepurposeByAdmin additional setting.

To the CommServe computer, add the dAllowLaptopRepurposeByAdmin additional setting as shown in the following table.

0 or 1. Value = 0 (default): Renames the incoming client with ___1 but keeps display name unchanged. Value = 1: Renames existing client with _repurposed. This assumes the existing client can no longer communicate. |
Note
After creating the dAllowLaptopRepurposeByAdmin additional setting, the CommCell administrator (and not the laptop owner) must perform the laptop package reinstall.
