Repairing an Installation on a Windows-Based Client Computer Locally - Interactive Repair

You can perform an interactive repair of a Commvault installation on a Windows-based client computer locally.


You can perform the repair operation even when you cannot reach the computer because of CVD service problems.


  1. Log on to the computer as an Administrator or as a member of the Administrator group on that computer.

  2. From the installation package directory, run Setup.exe.

    The installation wizard opens.

  3. On the Welcome page, select the I Agree check box and then proceed to the next page.

  4. On the Choose the Installation Type page, click Install packages on this computer and then proceed to the next page.

  5. Select the instance that needs repair, select Repair Existing Instance, and then click Next.
