Before You Begin
Multi-thread recursive scan uses multiple threads to scan the subclient content. You can configure multi-thread recursive scan at the volume or mount-point level and at the folder level.

Procedure

From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > File System > backup_set.

Right-click the appropriate subclient and click Properties.

In the Subclient Properties dialog box, click Advanced.

In the Advanced Properties dialog box, click the Advanced Options tab.

Click Recursive Scan and select the following option based on your requirement.
- To maintain the file access time during backups so that the access time is not modified at the time of backup, select the Preserve File Access Time check box. However, selecting this option increases the time required to complete a backup.

Click OK.
