Stop the services on the old MediaAgent.

Login to the old MediaAgent computer.

From the Start menu, click All Programs | Commvault, and then click Process Manager.
Process Manager dialog box appears.

Right-click All Services, and then click Stop.
A message appears that asks if you want to stop the services.

Click Yes.
Once you stop the MediaAgent services, the MediaAgent will appear as offline in the CommCell Console.

If the old MediaAgent hosts a deduplication database, from the Task Manager, make sure that the SIDB.exe and SIDB2.exe processes are not running on the MediaAgent computer after stopping the services.

Remove old MediaAgent from the disk/cloud libraries the mount path.

From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Storage Resources | Libraries | <Library>.

Right-click the mount path, and then click Properties.

Click the Sharing tab.

Select the old MediaAgent, and then click Delete.

Click OK.
This will automatically remove old MediaAgent data path from all the Storage Policies that were associated with the old MediaAgent.

Uninstall the MediaAgent software.

From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Storage Resources | MediaAgents.

Right-click the old MediaAgent, point to All Tasks | Add/Remove Software, and then click Uninstall Software.

In the Uninstall Software Options dialog box, select the Uninstall All check box.

Click OK to run the job immediately.
You can track the progress of the job in the Job Controller.
