In the Commvault software, snapshot properties set parameters for the Commvault software to control the behavior and the environment of the storage array.
For most agents, the precedence of snapshot properties is similar. For VSA V2, there are specific cases.
Precedence of Snapshot Properties
You can configure snapshot properties at the following entity levels, ordered by precedence, from lowest to highest.

Mount host: The mount host precedence is applied at the time of the mount operation or of the unmount operation, on the MediaAgent of the snapshot mount, and only if the mount host is not the same as the source client for the snapshot.
