You can use the Commvault software to specify a backend array to create snapshots during local migration of Dell EMC VPLEX data within the same cluster. You can also use the Commvault software to manage the snapshots that are created.

The source virtual volume must have a simple virtual volume configuration, such as 1 storage volume, 1 extent, 1 device, and 1 virtual volume.

The target device must not contain a volume.
